This is a truly fabulous home — light, airy, and effortlessly stylish — where modern comfort meets timeless charm. The emphasis is on contemporary convenience, with high-quality appliances, beautiful crockery and cutlery, all thoughtfully balanced with a touch of fine antiques that give the house real character and warmth. It’s a space designed for living well, making it easy for families to settle in quickly and feel at home, especially for longer stays.
The layout is both practical and welcoming. Downstairs, there’s a dedicated utility room and a separate cloakroom, while upstairs you’ll find a family bathroom and a further en-suite serving one of the four generous double bedrooms. Gas central heating keeps the home cosy year-round, complemented by a log-burning fire — perfect for curling up on chilly autumn evenings or cold winter nights.
Set on a quiet, tree-lined road, the house benefits from ample parking for up to three cars. Everyday life is wonderfully convenient, with six pubs and restaurants just a five-minute stroll away. One local favourite, The River Mill, sits right on the banks of the Great Ouse, bordering a nature park that’s ideal for scenic walks and cycling. Convenience shops and takeaways are also close at hand.
St Neots town centre is an easy 15-minute walk or a five-minute cycle ride, offering a fantastic selection of independent Italian, Chinese, Thai, Turkish, and Indian restaurants, alongside familiar national favourites. For commuters, the A1 is less than five minutes’ drive away, and the railway station can be reached in around ten.
The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and a joy for anyone who loves to cook. Highlights include a double Bosch eye-level oven, dishwasher, wide gas hob, fridge freezer, wine fridge, air fryer, slow cookers, Ninja 15-in-1 multi-cooker, ice maker, rice cooker, and a Dualit toaster — everything you could possibly need and more.
The dining table extends comfortably to seat eight, complemented by Denby tableware and Villeroy & Boch cutlery for more than eight place settings. The living room is a real hub of the house, featuring a Cambridge Audio / Bowers & Wilkins hi-fi system with CD, Bluetooth, turntable, and a lovely selection of vinyl. There’s also a TV and Xbox for relaxed evenings in. Music lovers will appreciate the additional Cambridge hi-fi in the twin bedroom, along with a powerful Fender amp and a selection of guitars. Board games fill the sideboard, and for families with children who love Lego, an enormous collection can be made available on request.
Overall, this is a fun, friendly home with a fantastic vibe — comfortable, characterful, and full of thoughtful touches.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house, but guests are welcome to smoke outside, either by the fire pit or on the decking.
For environmental reasons, the hot tub is operated seasonally and is available from 1 April through to the end of September.
